Wind turbines are subjected to high mechanical strains. However they have to operate without any problems and must not fail in any case - especially not due to an avoidable defect caused by lack of lubrication. Without an ingenious automatic maintenance system, these requirements can hardly be fulfilled.
A big problem of the operation of wind turbines is the continuous lubrication. The steady supply of small lubricant quantities causes a reliable lubricant coating. Hence abrasion is reduced, smoothness of running is increased and in addition to this the infiltration of soil particles is prevented. In a word - the life time of expensive components is considerably increased and the readiness for service of the complete wind turbine is optimized.
BEKAWIND central lubrication systems are especially designed for the high requirements at wind turbines.
