Scratch- and erosion-protection foils
from CMC Klebetechnik GmbH are produced from a high quality transparent thermoplastic polyurethane film with a strongly sticking UV-resistant acrylic adhesive. The film can be painted easily. All versions are UV-resistant, CMC 638xx is lightproof and does not turn to yellow.
Due to the very smooth surface there are low aerodynamic losses and a measurable reduction of noise. This means a better effectiveness, higher return of investment and better acceptance by the direct neighbours of wind-power plants. The good resistance against weather and sunlight means also longer maintenance interval and lower maintenance costs.
Applications:
- as erosion protection of the leading edges of rotor-blades for wind power plants. Repair of minor damages without the need
of blade dismantling
- as stone protection foil in the motorcar industry
- splinter protection for synthetic materials in the motor industry

The foil is available in rolls in widths between 10 mm and 1.000 mm or as die-cut parts on customer demand. As CMC Klebetechnik is the manufacturer of the adhesive tape it is possible to make changes such as different colour. |
