Offshore Base Cuxhaven

It is planned to make Cuxhaven's CuxPort Terminal the top location for offshore wind energy installations:

• New heavy load platform from 2006 for the transhipment of wind energy installations
• 68,500 sqm of additional terminal space planned for CuxPort from 2007
• 450,000 sqm designated for an offshore wind energy base
• Four test sites nearby for installations up to 5 MW
• Excellent inland waterway, highway and rail links, as well as a feeder to RoRo ships from the Baltic Sea
• Crane capacities up to 700 t available
