DWC Wind sensors are made of brass, cups/vane in electro polished acid-free steel (ASIS 316) and is therefore very impervious to weather. Cups / vane can also be ordered coated with TEFLON, high quality bearings made of stainless steel which ensure reliable measurements and long life time. The system is frictionless,which gives very high accuracy.
Wind sensors from DWC can be delivered with heating systems, which ensure faultless function under extreme weather conditions and prevents the moving parts from icing-up. One wind sensor can be added with one or two heating elements.
One heating element is supplied with 24Vdc and is on 50W. The heating elements in the wind sensors are supplied from a complete heating system with power supply and thermostats, It is possible add or replace the sensors PNP/NPN for outputs, also the heating units externally without disassembling the wind sensors.
