Planning of wind energy projects

Who wants to use a force of nature needs to be a good planner. GEO develops detailed structures for all phases of the realisation of wind farms. Consequent planning guarantees high quality and optimises the costs.

GEO takes care of the project management for investors or partners and negotiates with the land owners and the community. In the approval phase we closely work together with the authorities and put together all documents that are necessary for the application in cooperation with external experts.

As neutral host we coordinate and supervise the infrastructural operations until the installation of the turbine, we remedy deficiencies, document the whole development and hold continuous contact to the manufacturer. With personal commitment and flexibility we can guarantee a realization always on time.

To take the energy directly to the consumer, we are able to benefit form our experience on the field of grid and trace planning. GEO checks the possibilities for a grid connection, establishes the most reasonable connection point, negotiates with the energy provider companies and plans cable traces and transformer stations.

GEO also overseas already existing wind farms. In Repowering-Projects old turbines are being replaced by new, high-performance wind energy turbines. This optimises the land occupancy and establishes the premises fort he increase oft he output.

Technical operations

A wind farm needs permanent supervision and inspection to operate reliably. GEO takes care of the technical operation to guarantee the highest availability and error-free operation.

From graduated supervising- and control- systems over technical advice, documentation, reporting, turbine inspection and damage control up to error elimination and developing of a diversity of solutions our experienced engineers and experts offer extensive and continuous support.

Multi-megawatt turbines offshore

Wind energy turbines are getting more and more powerful. A multi-megawatt turbines can replace up to 5 conventional turbines. GEO uses this technology in new wind parks and on repowering projects and carries the onshore experience offshore, where the high-performance multi-megawatt turbines make an especially efficient operation of offshore-wind farms possible.

The currently planned projects of GEO in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea stand out due to high environmental compatibility and have high chance of realisation and economical operation.

Of course also future innovations are given high notice. New storage technologies expand the exploitability of wind energy. New load-oriented power plants arise. Hydrogen, the versatile, non-polluting energy source oft he future, will be produced with wind energy.

OffTEC

With OffTEC, a project to build an Offshore Training Development Centre, GEO develops innovative solutions for the highly increasing demand of offshore competences in the future. There are several segments: "Training", "Research, development and testing" as well as a "network for companies".

The offers of OffTEC are specifically aligned with the needs of the wind energy sector as well as the individual companies that take part. Concerning qualification, training, research, development and testing, they offer in all disciplines the realisation of branch specific standards, but also company specific adaptations. Therefore, the needs are being fulfilled effectively and target-oriented and secure the individual capacity to act.

Future synergies with OffTEC can also be aligned and used cross-sector on an economic, effective and efficient basis.
