PrimAero wind sensor |

|
Description |
The PrimAero wind sensor is a system specially developed for wind turbine generators (WTG) for precise measurement of wind direction and wind pressure.
For the first time, dynamic differential pressure measurement at the hub is used as measurement technology for the wind measurement on wind turbines. The PrimAero sensor consists of a sensor head, a high-resolution special pressure transducer (based on strain gauges) and a sensor lance.
The PrimAero is attached to the hub of the WTG, and therefore measures ahead of the WTG and not in the turbulent area behind the rotor blades.
Thanks to the innovative measuring principle, in particular due to the fact that measurements are made at the rotor blades, the yield of the WTG can be increased and the wear of the turbine can be decreased by reducing the loads at the same time. |
