Description |
The requirements to be met by a lubricating grease for the pitch bearings of a wind power station are manifold. When the position of the rotor blade is adjusted, it's essential to have as low as possible a starting friction torque at low ambient temperatures. In addition, the lubricant concerned has to absorb the blade's vibrations. A protective film of lubricant is required between the bearing's raceways and rolling elements in order to prevent wear at the contact point within the small range of motion. And finally, the grease must not have any adverse effects on the elastomer material of the cover caps and seals, since otherwise incoming water may cause corrosion damage. Klüber Lubrication meets all these requirements with its specialty lubricating grease Klübersynth BEL 34-52.
With its synthetic base oil, Klübersynth BEL 34-52 has proven to be highly stable under load, coping effortlessly with both slow and vibrating/oscillating movements. It boasts excellent compatibility with the plastics used in the sealing elements. The grease's high shear resistance, moreover, extends the service intervals involved, while at the same time reducing the relubrication quantities. Thanks to the appropriate additives, the grease also provides corrosion protection even if the surrounding atmosphere is extremely humid or possesses a high salt content. Klübersynth BEL 34-52 has passed the FAG FE 8 test and the Rothe Erde rippling test with good results. |
