Online Condition Monitoring Systems (certified and approved): VIBGUARD® and Omega Guard®
Online Condition Monitoring Systems (certified and approved): VIBGUARD® and Omega Guard®
Description
μ-Sen deploys Condition Monitoring Systems for the early detection of faults in the main components (main-bearing, gearbox, generator) of the drive-train of wind turbine systems (WEA)

The CM-System "Ω-Guard®"and "VIBGUARD®" has been installed in more than 500 wind turbine systems since 2001 (29 different types of wind turbine from 10 manufacturers). The wind turbines being monitored have power outputs ranging from 250 kW to 5MW.

The CM-System "VIBGUARD®" was introduced to the market place as a standard solution for onshore wind turbine systems at the end of 2006. The CM system has been optimised in co-operation with "Prüftechnik Condition Monitoring GmbH" and is certified by ATZ (Allianz Zentrum für Technik GmbH) as well as Germanischer Lloyd WindEnergie GmbH.

This co-operation means that the end-user benefits from the many years of experience of both partners in the fields of hardware and software development.

The initial evaluations of the measured values, their storage as well as the data transfer, is carried out automatically by the CM System. The configuration of the diagnostic system is implemented through the web fronted "WebLog" either on site or at a remote monitoring station. The WebLog also serves as a communications interface for the diagnostic system and provides easy access to the condition information from any geographical location. The user is alerted of possible problems via a status window as well as via e-mail or SMS. At the same time, a trend analysis is made of the individual machine components and equipment, using the integrated database.

The basic concept for the low frequency diagnostics of the drive-train of a wind turbine system, consisting of acceleration sensors, mechanical vibration sensors, is deployed by μ-Sen and is also supplemented by rotational sensors.

The modular design ensures that additional sensors can be used to complement or extend the monitoring system or other physical measurable characteristics such as vibration frequency, vibration amplitude, particle count, output, wind speed, temperature and pressure. Furthermore, the monitoring of the operation and condition of the rotor blades can be integrated.

We will gladly send you a detailed system description upon request.
