Founded in 2003, National Wind LLC is the nation’s leading developer of large-scale, community-based wind farms. Along with our assessment division, we have 33 employees based in Minneapolis, MN and Grand Forks, ND. Unlike other community wind companies, National Wind develops utility-scale wind energy projects that range from 200 to 750 megawatts.

Our mission is to develop powerful partnerships with ranchers, farmers, and community members that will help revitalize their economies and the environment for years to come. We operate under a community-based business model, in which we share ownership of our wind energy projects with local landowners. We currently have over 3,000 MW’s of commercial-scale wind energy systems under development or in operation throughout the Midwestern United States.
