During last decades, the wind power has taken a significant role in energy sector especially in Europe and North America and the perspectives of development are still encouraging. Nevertheless, the last years’ increase of a technology and the change of the social and political conditions in Latin America have brought the wind and renewable energy to a special place. Those facts have led to the creation of LAWEA and now are making us to organize WIND EXPO LAWEA 2008, which will be only a step away from seeking the definitive deployment of the clean energy at the region, main need of today's world demands.
