Hamburg, 11 June 2008. Bertrand Durrande, member of the supervisory board of REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703), today notified his resignation of the supervisory committee with effect from 25 June 2008.

Mr. Durrande has been appointed member of the supervisory board since 5 January 2006 and held the position as chairman until 21 June 2007. His resignation is linked to the sale of AREVA’s equity stake in REpower to Suzlon that took place last week.

The REpower supervisory board is going to promptly deliberate on a potential successor. Both, the REpower executive board and the supervisory board thank Mr. Durrande for his committed and valuable work in the past years.
