Hamburg, 22 October 2008. With effect from 24 October 2008 Mr. Kai Trede becomes new supervisory board member of REpower Systems AG (WKN 617 703). He substitutes Mr. Oliver Heinecke who recently informed the supervisory board’s chairman about his resignation with effect from 23 October 2008.

Mr. Kai Trede has been employed in the service department at REpower Systems AG since October 2000 being in charge of the replacement of big components. He will be one of altogether two employee representatives in the supervisory board.
