Garrad Hassan is to provide short-term forecasting services to the Kashmina Wind Farm. The farm is owned by Summit Energy Holdings, part of the Sumitomo Corporation, and will benefit from both the high degree of accuracy associated with Garrad Hassan’s forecasting model, GH Forecaster, and access to recent forecasts via Garrad Hassan’s new online service.
Garrad Hassan’s Japanese client base receives forecasting services with a Mean Absolute Error of 14.5%, based on a forecasting horizon of one day ahead. This level of accuracy matches the highest levels achieved by NEDO, Japan’s New and Industrial Technology Development Organisation, during a recent study to test a broad range of forecasting models.
