The Mexican company Turbopower Services, in partnership with the American firm D'Quadrant Strategies, has officially started the construction of “La Rumorosa I” wind farm, located in Tecate, Baja California.
This has been possible since, in last February, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development of Baja California State announced that the company which presented the best investment offer was Turbopower Services, who offered to carry out the works of engineering, construction and wind turbines supply, through an investment of US .2 million.
It is worth mentioning that the participation of Turbopower Services in this project is equal to 30% reflected in the implementation of engineering and construction, while D'Quadrant Strategies takes 70%, expressed as the leader of the capital.
“La Rumorosa I” project will have an installed capacity of 10MW on its first stage, produced by five 2MW turbines that will be installed between next August and September. The supplier of the turbines will be the company Gamesa, which will also provide maintenance services for one year. The second stage of the project seeks to complete a 100MW wind farm.
