Mexico - The Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE) has awarded a consortium to build a wind farm

The companies “Energia y Recursos Naturales S.A." and "Energias Ambientales de Guadalajara S.L." were chosen to develop the project.

After applying to the international public bid launched by the Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE) to build a wind farm in the southern state of Oaxaca, the consortium formed by the companies “Energia y Recursos Naturales S.A.” (Energy and Environmental Resources) and “Energias Ambientales de Guadalajara S.L.” (Environmental Energy of Guadalajara) was chosen to develop the project.

This is the Oaxaca I wind farm, which will have a generating capacity of 101 MW and its production will be connected to the national electricity system, and in turn operate under the form of external energy producer. Major record companies also attended the bid, such as Acciona Energy Mexico, Enerfin Society of Energy, Elecnor, among others, but the consortium that was awarded this project by submitting the lowest financial offer, considering the lowest generation cost (PNG) U.660 KW/h, reason why they will be in charge of the design, construction and operation of wind farm.

With this, the Mexican government, through the state company of electricity (CFE), advances in the objective to obtain 25% of energy production by means of renewable energy.
