Nicaragua - The Amayo wind farm recently included 39 MW of wind power

The wind farm receives an initial investment of U million

The state Electricity Transmission Company (Enatrel), recently announced the addition of 39 MW to the National Interconnected System, by the Amayo wind farm, located in the southern municipality of Rivas.

These 39 MW are part of a total of 40 MW expected for the first phase of the operation of that wind farm, which in turn will cover the electricity supply to around 320 thousand homes in Nicaragua.

It is recalled that the wind farm Amayo, which has 19 wind turbines of 2.1 MW, has received an initial investment of U million, through the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), the Guatemalan Centrans Energy Services and the American Arctas Capital Group.
