The General Meeting of WKN Windkraft Nord AG appoints Dr. Klaus Rave to the WKN Supervisory Board as of April 1, 2010. With the new Chairman Dr. Rave, the Husum-based project developer will therefore have one of the most important personalities of the European wind market at its services. “Given his wind expertise, we’re delighted to have gained the services of Klaus Rave for this task,” explains Volker Friedrichsen, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the BGZ Group.
Born in 1950, Dr. Klaus Rave is Chair of the Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein and has been an indefatigable and recog-nised supporter of the wind energy industry since its very beginnings. In his role as Vice President of the EWEA and in numerous other positions, he has championed the continuous growth of wind energy for many years.

WKN Windkraft Nord AG has planned, installed and operated turnkey wind parks in Germany since 1990. In addition, WKN AG is also expanding abroad and is internationally represented by subsidiaries in numerous European countries as well as the US. Up to now, the company initiated and realized a total of 1,000 megawatts capacity wind energy. WKN AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BGZ-Group based in the House of Future Energies, Husum.
