Company Information

When wind energy was still in its early beginnings, the founders of SeeBA got very interested in the subject of renewable energy. SeeBA was founded in 1997 by Ewald Seebode and Bernd Klinksieck, two experts in the field of wind energy with many years of experience.

Today SeeBA with approx. 50 employees is actively engaged in the field of renewable energy, predominantly wind energy. Until the end of 2006 SeeBA has been participating in the planning and/or setting up of more than 70 wind parks with a total number of over 250 lattice towers and a total output of more than 340 Megawatts.

In 2005 the SeeBA group was divided into two associated companies: SeeBA Energiesysteme (energy systems) GmbH and SeeBA Technik (technology) GmbH.

SeeBA Technik
is specialized in the development and construction of lattice towers with hub heights of over 100 m, as well as maintenance, service and technical operations and offers the following services :

  • Development of tower systems for WEC of the multi-megawatt class including certification by the German TÜV or Germanischer Lloyd. At the moment, SeeBA is the only experienced provider of lattice towers with a hub height of over 100 m.
  • Comprehensive installation of wind park projects, from the planning stage to the selection of tenders and start-up of the facility, including invoicing.
  • Technical operation with 24 hrs. / seven days a week emergency service.
  • Tower maintenance and repair of the lattice towers by in-house teams, even beyond the warranty period.
SeeBA Energiesysteme plans and operates wind parks all over Germany. Abroad, we are presently working on projects in Belgium, Poland, Hungary, the Balkan states and other Mediterranean countries. To simplify carrying out international projects, subsidiaries have been founded to date in Belgium, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia.

The range of product and service offered by SeeBA Energiesysteme includes :
  • Securing the sites including all contract formalities
  • Planning and obtaining building permits
  • Financing and marketing
  • Commercial operation of the facility

Why SeeBA lattice towers ?

SeeBA has opted for the construction and application of lattice towers since they enable, through their great possible hub heights, wind power plants to be operated extremely productively and therefore economically, even at inland locations.

However, lattice towers indisputably have additional, not to be disregarded, advantages over tubular towers, which also influenced our decision. Here are, in short, a few of the arguments in their favour :
  • great transparency, therefore optical dispersal
  • reduced material consumption for tower and foundations (savings in raw materials)
  • considerably lower costs compared to similar tower heights of different constructions
  • optimised economy
  • improved recyclability of tower and foundations
  • reduced ground sealing
  • excellent corrosion protection through hot-dipped galvanizing – no damage to the environment through poisonous paints and lacquers
  • improved accessibility of poorly developed sites with smaller and lighter units
