Molins de Vent TARRAGÓ is a company dedicated to the production, commercialization and installation of windmills for pumping water. The main product of Molins de Vent TARRAGÓ* are multi-showel windmills. The company has been founded in 1982, although the origins of the company go back to the year 1964. In 1964, the founder Josep Tarragó i Vilarrubí, at his 16 years-age, built its first windmill for the personal use. This first windmill was used to supply electricity to his residential village in a rural area.

In 1982 starts the commercial activity of Molins de Vent Tarragó*. At first, the company was acting only locally. Early enough, expanded to other Spanish regions different from Catalonia, like Andalusia, Extremadura, Castilla and the north of Portugal, where nowadays several thousand windpumps are operating.
In international markets, Molins de Vent TARRAGÓ* exports to Europe (e.g.Germany, Sweden, Portugal and France), Afrika (Togo, West Afrika, Marocco, among others) and Latin America (Panama, Brazil and Cuba). Currently, Molins de Vent TARRAGÓ* is strengthening efforts to increase presence in international markets.
