WestWind e n e r g y, launched in the summer of 1999, is one of Germany’s leading full-service providers for wind farm projects.

Our full-service ranges from micrositing to financing and construction supervision as well as the operation & maintenance of wind farms.

WestWind energy is run by engineers with the desire to use their technical expertise to improve our environment. They have realised that using the power of wind to generate electricity can be applied on a reasonably large scale, providing it is financially viable. The resulting emission-free electricity makes a significant contribution in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. For example, a single wind turbine of the 'megawatt class' (2.0 MW output) – the type WestWind energy preferably utilizes – produces approximately 6,000,000 kWh of clean electricity each year. This is equivalent to the electrical energy consumption of about 1,800 average households. As of 2008, WestWind energy has developed approximately 35 wind farms with more than three-fourths of it under own operation & maintenance. Every project – either national or international – is a new challenge for us!
