Our experience with wind energy converters in California and Israel formed the basis for a promising company and so we founded Windtec GmbH in 1995. Having developed 600kW and 1500kW prototypes, we succeeded in becoming established on the market and also attracted Pfleiderer Wind Energy GmbH, which subsequently incorporated Windtec as a development department. Two years later Pfleiderer AG pulled out of the wind industry and Windtec GmbH was again an independent company focusing on the development of electrical components for wind energy converters and the calculations required for model approval.

Today Windtec operates at an international level in the field of wind energy converter development. Dedicated to quality and expertise, our services include electrical component supply, concept development, load calculation, design, manufacture, and commissioning. Our own experience in building wind energy converters from 500kW to 5000kW goes into the design of our electrical and mechanical components thus guaranteeing reliable systems and first-class investments. Given our regular contact with licensees and after-sales support, we at Windtec are constantly increasing our know-how. The field engineer's suggestions for improvement are taken into account in our designs and ensure easy to maintain, cost-effective products.
